Meeting Connections Manager

Market 80 rooms and under. Must be able to work individually as well as with a team and possess a positive attitude. Primarily responsible for the solicitation of future business and secondarily for account maintenance. Direct account acquisition from new and existing companies and organizations that have a need for group room blocks and meeting/function space. This individual would manage the Northeast, upper Midwest and a portion of Colorado. Knowledge of all hotel services including space/inventory management and yield management. Must be able to plan, execute and follow up market tactics/actions. Limited travel and high client entertainment expectations. Ability to exceed goals and deadlines critical. Minimum of one year group sales or catering experience in the hotel industry is required. Must have outstanding organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, professional presentation, negotiation and closing skills. Must be conversationally fluent in English, possess intermediate computer skills and be a self motivator. Other skills include: budget management, creativity, and electronic communications (e-mail, excel, PowerPoint, etc..). Four year college degree preferred. Full-Time. Salary DOE.

Qualifications

* A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
* Refined verbal and written communication skills.
* Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training program or equivalent training.
* Prefer 1-2 years previous hotel experience.
