The preferred candidate must have a positive attitude and excellent people skills, previous customer service experience is preferred. In this role good communications skills are also required as you are responsible for answering questions relating to the hotel, restaurants and general information about the surrounding areas and Shanghai, China.
The Andaz host is responsible for welcoming and registering the guests. This highly visible role gives our hosts the opportunity for engaging conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties include processing of payment, responding to guest inquiries and dealing with general concierges requests.
Qualifications:
A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
Refined verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights.
A personal interest in Shanghai dining and events.
Ability to use own initiative to exceed guest experiences.
