Hyatt Regency Perth is seeking a full time Event Planning Executive.

The primary focus of this position is to assist clients with function bookings, ensuring maximum satisfaction and smooth running of events, conferences and other functions.

Other tasks include in depth knowledge of the market place and industry and proactively attending networking functions to build a profile for the hotel, as well as working in close partnership with our Sales & Marketing and Banquet Service teams.

Qualifications

Essential criteria for the role are:
Prior experience in a similar role or Event Service (Management) experience.
Proven ability to handle an entire group and catering event from arrival, departure, review and cross-sell.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with external and internal clients
Ability to provide operational Department Heads with timely and accurate group and event information to enable effective delivery of events and groups.
Proven ability to direct sell.
Strong problem solving skills.
Strong administrative and computer skills.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
High level of personal presentation.
Ideally, you will have a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality, Event or Tourism management.
