Award-winning luxury hotel, Park Hyatt Melbourne is seeking a committed, innovative and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the team on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing an excellent and consistent level of service to our customers and contributing to the overall success of the kitchen departments, in accordance with Hyatt International's standards and financial goals. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the kitchen during peak service times and ensuring the operation runs according to all culinary and organisational standards established by the Executive Sous Chef. Further duties include fostering a positive and productive work environment for the kitchen staff while maximising employee morale and productivity.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a leadership role within a similar five star kitchen environment and exceptional organisational and delegation skills. The ability to work productively and safely in a fast paced environment is a must, so excellent communication skills and time and task management is necessary. Certificate 3 in Cookery as well as a local Certificate in food handling and hygiene is required.
This full-time role requires flexibility to work on a rotating 24/7 roster, including weekends, public holidays and evenings.
