The Global Corporate office of Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Chicago is seeking a junior level attorney for the position of Corporate Counsel - Operations. This position will support other lawyers in the Legal Department as well as client groups within the organization and involves interaction at the corporate and hotel level. This position's day to day responsibilities include providing legal support and advice in the company's operations group in areas such as marketing, information technology, consumer issues, privacy, human resources, and risk management.
Qualifications
·3-5 years of broad legal experience in a law firm or in-house
·JD Degree required along with an Active Bar membership is required
·Experience with commercial law and drafting/reviewing general corporate contracts
·Exposure to business operations such as marketing, information technology, consumer issues, privacy, human resources issues and risk management
·Ability to collaborate with in-house legal colleagues as well as with internal and external clients on a wide range of matters
·Ability to collaborate with, direct, and manage outside counsel
·Willing to work collaboratively in a team setting
·Ability to manage varied projects simultaneously
·Displays self-direction, time management and reasoned problem solving skills
·Previous hospitality or service industry experience is a plus
·Ability to travel as needed
