The Director of Investor Relations is a key participant in implementation of the company's investor relations plan. This person functions as a secondary point of contact between the company and the investment community (primarily analysts, institutional, and individual investors) in communicating financial results and business strategy. He/she reports to and supports the SVP of Investor Relations. The company has a market capitalization of over $6B and more than 20 sell-side analysts follow it.
Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions: ·Field calls and answer questions from investment community. In doing so, accurately and consistently convey key business drivers, business results, strategies, and decisions. While doing so, develop and maintain relationships based on trust, respect and credibility. ·Conduct financial analysis and research in order to respond to inquiries from the investment community. This may include financial modeling and competitive or industry analysis. ·Conduct a broad array of additional research including: comparable company analytics, company valuations, financial market research, stock performance, and buy and sell-side activity, etc. ·Collaborate to develop and communicate the over-arching long-term value creation story of the company such that company's public securities achieve fair valuation. ·Draft quarterly earnings releases, investor presentation and other investor materials. This includes frequent and intense collaboration with corporate communications, legal, finance and operating business divisions. ·Manage IR website, including creating and monitoring content. ·Analyze and react to financial trends and issues, including those of macroeconomic, industry, and regulatory nature. ·Assist the company corporate communications function in various messaging opportunities with financial media and/or in preparation for the annual meeting, annual report, and other corporate activities. ·Define and update the company's investor targeting strategy through investor research and tracking. ·Support internal constituents with messaging, communications preparation and presentations in order for the company to have a standardized communication cadence. ·Work with external vendors, NYSE, specialist and others in order to develop the IR budget and implement the IR plan. ·Conduct various internal cross-functional projects. ·Be a brand and company ambassador in external interactions and bring an investor perspective to relevant internal interactions. ·Help management achieve a high return-on-time from investment community interactions. ·Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values ·The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: ·8 years of total work experience, including a minimum of 4 years in any combination of the following areas: ·Equity research (buy or sell side) ·Credit analysis ·Investor relations ·Financial communications ·Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or other business related field or a graduate degree in business (such as a MBA.) ·Outstanding financial and investment analysis skills coupled with the ability to communicate financial information to a sophisticated audience. ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to establish relationships in a new industry quickly.
Additional Preferred Qualifications: ·Equity research, credit, IR or financial communications experience within lodging, gaming, or consumer discretionary universe. ·MBA or CFA ·Knowledge of Reg FD, business law, or industry disclosure norms ·Knowledge of company strategy and financials ·Prior experience and ability to work with executive leadership
