The Capital Project Manager will supervise the implementation of hotel transition for multiple owned and managed property renovations and within a specified list of hotels. This will require monitoring product quality and consistency across a collection of Hyatt product lines through the supervision of established specifications and standards in areas of products, materials, architecture and design. The renovation needs and requirements will focus on the public and guest room areas, review of proposed interior design/architectural changes and compatibility to Brand standards. The successful candidate will work directly with the Director of Facilities, architects, designers, purchasing companies, consultants and various other groups to promote and safeguard product consistency.
Position Responsibilities: ·Follow the communication process as established by the Director of facilities which facilitates a single point of contact providing knowledgeable and reliable support for product and renovation information. ·Be fully knowledgeable and conversant on established core-brand and multi-product line standards and specifications, review preliminary product specifications and samples and insure compliance with established company parameters. ·Act as a resource to determine and support hotel compliance with company specifications involving products and project related activities and identify cost saving methods and/or recommend use of alternative products when appropriate. ·Review construction and renovation drawings, submittals and specifications for compliance with Brand Standards and direction. ·Provide written documentation on all drawing, plan, specification and interior design / FFE submittal reviews to the hotels. ·Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FF&E and construction related materials, fabrication and installation techniques along with new products and processes to assure state of art planning, review assistance and potential cost containment. ·Assist in the development of a continuous renovation program and track each project's adherence to the approved critical path. ·Establish and maintain regular communication with the Hotels and Regional Vice President of Operations on all current and pending renovation programs which is to include a review of design presentations and product selections. ·Monitor specific projects to help ensure timely completion or quickly identify potential delays/problems. Maintain documentation and permanent files on all project activity. ·Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values ·The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. Qualifications
·Bachelor's Degree in Construction Administration, Architecture or Project Management is preferred ·Minimum of 10 years of contractor, renovation, and/or project management experience within the select service/extended stay hotel market segment required ·Select service/extended stay hotel experience is required ·Ability to travel 70 - 80% of the time
