ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF SALES

The position is an 18-24 month commitment with the clear goal to successfully experience the training and development necessary to become a Director of Sales for Hyatt. Must be open to relocation for next assignment.
Responsibilities include management of deployed market along with departmental activities-
- Leadership for and supervision of assigned sales managers' prospecting, selling and contracting activities
- Work closely with Director to set team and individual quotas and with sales team to ensure achievement of production expectations.
- Support sales managers to maximize revenue production while resolving any conflicts and removing barriers to production performance.
- Recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring of sales staff
- Partnering with catering/convention services to ensure effective booking turnovers and positive client experiences
- Involvement with the annual business plan and budgeting processes
- Experience forecasting and group pricing exercises
- Report analysis and expense management
- Contribution to development and implementation of hotel marketing strategies and tactics
- Business travel, client entertainment and tradeshow representation
- Develop internal relationships on property, partner with Assistant Managing Committee and represent Director on Managing Committee as needed.
- Community involvement and networking.
This person may be required to serve as Director in the absence of the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business or Marketing
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of four years experience in hospitality sales.
- Proven proactive selling skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively work with all levels of associates required.
