The Global Corporate headquarters of Hyatt Hotels Corporation based in Chicago, is seeking an attorney for the position of Senior Corporate Counsel or Corporate Counsel - International Operations (position level will be determined according to experience). The position requires broad experience providing legal advice to US based companies with multinational operations. This position's day to day responsibilities include providing legal support and advice to the business leaders in the company's international operations group and providing oversight of legal issues related to the company's international operations. The position reports directly to the Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel - Worldwide Operations.
Qualifications
·5-10 years of relevant international law experience in a law firm or in-house at a U.S. based multinational corporation
·JD Degree required along with an Active Bar membership
·Ability to manage complex and demanding workload with minimal supervision and to communicate effectively with executives, business leaders, peers, and reports
·Broad experience providing legal support to international operations on a variety of different matters, such as Contracts, Human Resources, Marketing, Information Technology, Intellectual Property, and Privacy
·Expertise in current government enforcement climate and priorities with a heavy emphasis on ability to advise regarding FCPA, UK Anti-Bribery Act, SDN/OFAC, Antitrust, and Privacy
·Experience advising U.S. based multinationals on corporate compliance programs worldwide and experience conducting internal investigations
·Ability to collaborate with in-house legal colleagues as well as with internal and external clients located in the US and in international divisional offices on a wide range of matters
·Ability to collaborate with, direct, and manage outside counsel worldwide
·Experience delivering training to multicultural and diverse employee populations
·Some travel, including international, will be required
·Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
